Malachi 4:2, Mark 5:25-34

Malachi prophesies that there would be healing in the kanaph (or “wings” or the “hem of the garment”) of the Son of Righteousness (that’s Jesus!).  We see this in action with the woman with the issue of blood.

1. She was desperate.
The woman with the issue of blood had tried everything... all doctors, all procedures, spent all her money.

Life can bring difficult situations.  2 Corinthians reminds us that we are “hard pressed... perplexed... struck down.”  Humanity (carnality) includes suffering.

2. She had faith.
She heard about Jesus (and all that He had done), and her faith grew!

Desperation often becomes the doorway to faith!  Mark 11:22 declares very simply, “Have faith in God.”

3. She took action.
After trying everything, the woman reached for the hem of Jesus’s garment.  And – immediately – she’s healed!

And healing is possible for us today!  Isaiah 53:5, “But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed.”

Step out in faith, and ask Jesus to do what only He can do.
